Description of ride: Short and Sweet Ride --Metro Area Ride that cruises around the Mississippi River
Start place:  Old Country Buffet in Burnsville  NE corner of 35W and Cty Rd 42
Breakfast time:   8am
Depart time:  8:30am  ****NOTE**** changed to kickstands up at 8:30!!!
Lunch stop:  tbd/will also be the end point of the ride
Ride level:  novice
Ride Pace:  easy
Ruff Mileage:  less than 100miles
End time:  noon
End stop:  burnsville
Ride leader: gene/gdawgs
good way to hit a ride andstill have time to do other things the remainder of the day.  
****BP gas station is just accross the street to fill up.

Note:  I'm changing the departure time to 8:30!!

Depending on who shows up, I have an alternative route in mind.  We will vote at 8:30 for plan A or plan B.

Then there were 10 riders!

The ride began at OCB (Old Country Buffet) in Burnsville. Tom & Cheryl (The Ugh & Terrill), Tom (Grumpy) Tim (Jerzee Boy), Shelly (Guest of Tim and soon to become a new SCRC202 member) Michael (Blu), Tam (WindRider), Chuck (KAKTUS), Gina (Guest of Chuck & Tam), Kevin (Doc) and Gene (gdawgs-Ride leader).

Gene led the group on an expedition complete with a couple of u-turns. Some nice twisties through Scott County and eventually into Minneapolis along the river where we ended up at a DQ for a tasty treat.

Grumpy winged and Blu tailgunned.

Nice ride!    We spend a lot of our time out in rural america, this was a pleasant change of pace having half the ride on urban parkways. And yes we were all disappointed that Black Dog road has been closed. Thanks for leading a ride and best of luck with your new adventure, it will profoundly change your life ... but DO NOT give up riding. 

Doc, I'm sorry you had to break off, and the reason makes it all the more troublesome. I hope you'll have a good outcome and your pet makes a full recovery.

thanks to all that made the ride.  It was nice to catch up with everyone.  

great day, and even the clouds eventually went away.  

good to see new folks too.  got my chores done this weekend and felt pretty accomplished.  

thanks to Blu and Grumpy for helping with the ride.  Chuck, thanks for posting the riders for me.
