Minimum Participation
In the past, our club has had a "No minimum participation" policy. While this has been an attractive feature of the club for many members, the result is that we have had many "members" who have never showed up on a ride. And riding is what this club is about.
In order to have a better grasp on our membership and to recognize and better serve active participants (i.e. frequent riders) this policy is being updated to a minimum of 1 ride participation each year. This will bring us closer in line with the National SCRC recommendation of membership which limits membership to only those active within the last 90 days. We recognize the issues the winter month’s pose to riding activity and this policy will evolve to best fit the needs of the club. Participation during the riding season will be tracked by using the current ride waiver.
Special occasions may arise where illness or injury sidelines one of our extended riding family members. Non-Expiring membership may be granted at the collective discretion of your officers.
